My name is Maddie and I'm a freelance photographer based in Devon, England. I have spent most of my life around horses and dogs, so they are the most obvious attraction to photograph, and therefore take up the majority of my portfolio. I have however completed an Extended Diploma at Exeter College in photography, gaining a distinction, where I explored capturing people or parts of the human body with my camera, along with other conceptual styles and subjects.
I have lots of experience with commercial headshots of both canines and equines, and have spent plenty of time at events photographing competitors. I have also produced professional (human) headshots for a mixture of clients, and have worked with fashion students to help showcase their work in the studio through photography. Please get in touch if you want to know more, or you like my work and are interested in a collaboration or commission.
Maisey and Me, August 2016
In 2015, I took a simple photograph of two firebugs on a dandelion whilst visiting my grandparents' home in Brixham, Devon. The photo was recieved well by many, so I decided to enter it into the Devon and Cornwall Wildlife Photography Competition that same year, and was both shocked and elated upon hearing of the win. This photograph was the turning point in my childhood when I found my passion and decided what I wanted to do with my life - capture incredible moments through a lens that prevail over anything we can naturally see with the human eye, highlighting beauty and emotions that would be ordinarily overlooked.
Capturing special moments through a camera lens to be treasured forever
